Every action we can take to help address the world’s global warming issue is a step in the right direction. As a company, we will adapt sustainable operating procedures. As an agency, we will support our clients’ green and sustainable marketing and operating programs. And as members of Planet Earth, we will each do our best to live in an environmentally supportive manner.

The following is a summary of what we are currently doing at Cohn Marketing to increase our efforts in sustainable operations. Our agency maintains a “Green Committee” that meets regularly to seek out new ways to improve our environmentally supportive actions.

• Office Paper Recycling will be an everyday program. Every office and every printer station is equipped with a recycling bin. Garbage for recycling is hand delivered to the recycling station each week.


• All Printer cartridges are to be collected and recycled on an ongoing basis.


• Collection of Commingled recyclable containers including drink cans and other disposables generated by our team.


• All light bulbs in the office will be replaced with low energy CFL lighting lasting 8000 hours (versus traditional 500 hour bulbs).


• Recycled papers will be purchased for usage within the office and encourage clients to print on recycled papers whenever appropriate.


• The company will operate with environmental awareness, lights kept off in unused offices and conference rooms, air and heat controls shifted to automatic systems, and water displacement in our commodes.


• Carpools and alternative transit methods will be encouraged among employees for daily work as well as for client meetings involving multiple staff members.


• The company’s building will be adapted to sustainable systems when and where possible to include window tinting, heating and cooling maintenance, etc.


• Cohn Marketing will purchase wind power, even at a higher cost, from the electric utility as soon as it becomes available to the company.

As the Cohn Marketing Green Committee and our team finds new ways to operate more environmentally efficiently, those procedures will be adapted for companywide usage.
